To begin with the end – the project is now live – please feel free to get involved and help us out to complete this project at the following link:

As a general reminder – don’t forget to tag the pieces and also to print the pins – please check the tolerances of the pins since that might alter from part to part.

(first draft render – render by Silviu Rotbasan)

A success or a failure, only time will tell if this old ambition of mine will get to see daylight. But a commitment to myself and to a deadline has been finally made and I am closer to completing this journey. Until then I will constantly update this post with my progress

first draft of the Equilibrium pavilion
Drafting one of the legs of the tripod pavilion
SETTLED ON A MAIN STRUCTURE SYSTEM

Before I go on with the division of the legs, I decided to test a connecting system- nothing complicated but yet very sturdy – what controlling tolerances can do for you is offer sturdiness and precision.

First scale 1:1 connection

Connection system is very simple – a cylinder placed at the right place with the right tolerance 🙂
216 pieces — <3 took that down more than half of what I was expecting 😀
quick draft render to get a feeling of how it will look outdoors

As fast prototyping goes – doing some 1:1 scale tests as I go on with the analysis of the joints proves to be very useful. First two pieces were printed today and as I also said on my social media – it was barbaric printing.

XX to be continued as the process progresses throughout the following weeks XX
